Shirley Mae Bauer

1936 - 2024

Mrs. Shirley Mae Tedrow Bauer, 87, peacefully passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, in her home in Palm Harbor, Fla. Mrs. Bauer was born May 23, 1936, in Richhill Township, to the late Cecil E. and Velma Kerr Tedrow. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold C. Bauer; her son, Ronald C. Bauer; her daughters-in-law, Michele (Edward) Bauer, and Reba (Ronald) Bauer; brothers, Hubert, Cecil, Benjamin, and William; and her sisters, Norma Jean Hlipala and Patricia Tedrow. Mrs. Bauer was a graduate of Waynesburg High School, Class of 1954. On October 7, 1954, she married Arnold C. Bauer and resided in Glenshaw for 42 years before moving to Florida in 2001. She was a retired bookkeeper and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan attending three Super Bowls. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, and traveling the country. She is survived by four children, Edward J. Bauer of Pittsburgh, Arnold C. (Lori) Bauer of Allison Park, Timothy J. (Stacy) Bauer of Palm Harbor, and Sandra B. (Steven) Franklin, also of Palm Harbor; nine grandchildren, Cydnie Bauer, Colin Bauer, Codi Bauer, Jason Bauer, Joshua Bauer, Jessica Bauer Milford, Andre Betancourt, Travis Franklin, and Jennifer Franklin; and seven great-grandchildren, Codi Christian, Logan, Teagan, Trinity, Nolan, Colton, and Brooklyn. Friends and family are invited to the visitation from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, February 12, in Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 13. Interment to follow at Centennial Cemetery.
