Not sure what to say?

September 14, 2015

Dad, the days are turning into weeks and it still doesn't quite feel like you are gone, but with each passing day it is starting to feel real.

I expect the phone to ring with you telling me that you are around the corner at Home Desperate and could you swing by and say hello.

Last week, I found a few voice mails you had left back in July asking about Aidan and the kids because their guinea pig was sick.

I keep busy, which isn't too hard for me to do, but there is a void and you are missed. I don't know when I will stop reaching for the phone to call you up.

The kids all miss you and they are trying to give me comfort. I brought Riley to the cemetery to your grave and I hope he understands.

Aidan tells me to hold on to happy memories and Charlotte tells me that one day I will see you in heaven.

When I see yard sales, hear American Pie and see an American Flag I will think of you.

So long forever...

Love, Punky

My condolence to his family. I was sad to learn of Spencer's passing; I have great memories of when I was child and would visit him and my cousin, Eloise and later, when we worked together at Raytheon. Mike Merolli

Though Mr. Goldstein's and my paths crossed briefly, I felt all the friendliness of his big personality that his loved ones continuously mention here about here. My heart and thoughts go out to his family and friends.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I only knew Spencer for a short period of time, during an ambulance transport but know his family loved him dearly. May he rest in the sweetest peace.

We met and became friends on line via JWV. I will miss the many interesting USAF and other Aircraft articles that we exchanged. We never met face to face, because our illnesses kept interfering. With a little better health I'm sure that our wives and we would have enjoyed each others' company. I hope that we will meet again after I too will "have broken the bounds of earth and touched the face of God". Martin Shapiro 659 Main St. Ashland, MA 01721

Spencer was a master of all things and friend to everyone.
Spencer loved to travel.
The photo of Spencer wearing his Air Force Veteran's hat and accompanied by his wife Elaine was taken on their vacation to Israel.

Spencer, you have always been a source of constant light and support, and truly a member of our family. I remember you in so many moments with us, for your strength and fortitude, grace and energy. Your voice and presence always gave us comfort, and I hope you are comforted now in light and peace. You are a force now, and always will be... with us. So much love to you in Spirit and to your family here on Earth. Holding you in light,

Spencer was an old friend and an original supporter of the Rhode Island Computer Museum. We have good memories of him, his sense of humour and many small kindnesses. We will all miss him.

Spencer was like an Uncle and member of the family we grew up with. Popping in and out and teaching us about cars and life. He could light up the room and usually had all the girls gushing. His life-force and spirit stayed positive even when things were otherwise going poorly, bringing his special magic. I'll miss our long conversations about science, engineering, and life.

Spence: The day is done, you made the world brighter, with a bit of whimsy and wisdom. Rest in eternal peace.
