I met Steve at Powderhorn. Such a gentle, optimistic, kind man. I looked forward to having a wonderful, long friendship with someone who loved vigorous adventure and indefatigable thoughtfulnfess. I was shocked and dismayed to hear of his passing. My hope is that his family finds solace in the afterglow of his bright smile and warmth of good memories. I'm so, so sorry for their loss.

My recent interactions with Steve always reflected a positive, generous soft-spoken man. His time with the Powderhorn Ski Patrol was valued, his attendance always welcome. We will miss him greatly and always regret not knowing him better.

Can't believe he is gone.....seems like we were just skiing at Lake Tahoe/Heavenly Valley.

Steve, I met you last year as a fellow mountain host at Powderhorn. I really enjoyed our time together and will remember your friendliness and eagerness to share your wisdom. It was easy to tell you were enjoying being on the mountain and I appreciated working with you.
