Suemi Y. Toutant COLUMBIA - A Mass of Christian Burial for Suemi Y. Toutant, 89, will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mrs. Toutant passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Born in Kobe, Japan on January 24, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Tedo Yasui and Torako Yasui. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Surviving are her son, Richard P. Toutant (fianc‚e, Elizabeth Lilly) of North Charleston; daughter, Margaret T. Spencer (Danny J.) of Columbia; grandchildren, Jessica T. Eisenberg (Jason R.) of Charleston, and Justin Toutant of Columbia; great-grandchildren, Caleb A. Toutant and Kiran L. Toutant; sister, Emma Takeda of San Francisco, California; as well as other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leo P.
