Susan Beaty Obituary

Susan Cooley Beaty CHARLOTTE - Susan Cooley Beaty, age 59, of Charlotte passed away October 9, 2013 at Carolina Medical Center. A service to celebrate her life will be at 2:00PM Friday, October 11th at Gloryland Baptist Church, Pastor Sammy Case officiating. Visitation will be form 7-9PM Thursday evening at the church, 3001 Gloryland Ave. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Mrs. Beaty was born in Charlotte August 31, 1954, was a member of Gloryland Baptist Church, taught children's church, was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School and had been associated with Jim Beaty and Associates Real Estate before her illness. Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Jim Beaty; children, Bryan Beaty of Belmont, NC, Suzanne Beaty Mackey of Denver, NC; grandchildren, Emma, Jada, Jake, Cabe and Jena; mother, Martha Sue Cooley of Charlotte; sister, Marie Petrea of Charlotte; and brothers, Wayne Cooley of Alexis, NC and David Cooley of Belmont, NC. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Glenn Cooley. Offer condolences through www.forestlawnwest.com.

Nanny...you are my hero. You taught me to trust in The Lord and to never give up fighting. Not once did you lose your faith while you were sick. You fought hard to be with us and the years we had with you I'll never forget. I will try to be as great of daughter, friend, wife, mother, and grandmother as you were. The day I see you again will be the happiest day of my life. I know until that day a piece of you is always with me. I love you Nanny!! To the moon and back, forever and always.

Susan was the best great aunt anyone could ask for. she loved her family dearly and i know we will all miss her! I know I think of her everyday. You know as our family says goodbye, we should actually say farewell. We will all see you soon in heaven again. I love and miss you Susan. <3
