Susan Gevirtz Obituary
Susan Ruth Gevirtz, nee Goldberg, 68, of Wilmette. Beloved wife of Robert Gevirtz; loving mother of Carrie (Alan) Stern, and William Gevirtz; proud grandmother of Millie Stern; caring sister of Joan (David) Cirillo, cherished daughter of the late William and Mildred Goldberg and daughter-in-law of Florence and the late Palmer Gevirtz. Funeral services will be held Monday, 11:00 am, at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette, IL 60091. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to American Lung Association (www.lung.org) or North Shore Hospice (www.northshore.org) appreciated. For funeral information please call 847-256-5700.

Professor Gevirtz, I am so sorry for your loss. I had you for Trial Ad at Chicago-Kent many, many, moons ago. It was one of my favorite classes, and certainly helped pave the way for my career as a Cook County Public Defender. I've seen you many times since then, and had the pleasure of meeting your lovely wife at one of the NACDL annual meetings (Boston, 2005?). You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
