Tamara "Tami" Gay Booth, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 9, 2022. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow's Memorial Chapel Bass Road with the Rev. Jimmy Corbitt officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Tami was born in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Thomas Rigsby and Margaret Huey Gay. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Rigsby Gay. Tami was a retired nurse with Medical Center of Central Georgia where she took care of those in need for thirty-six years. She was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Although Tami faced numerous medical issues, she made her family top priority attending sporting events, birthday parties and making everyone feel special. She was a devoted and loving wife, mom, Mimi, sister, aunt and a friend to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Tommy Booth of Macon; children; Josh (Joy) Booth of Macon, Katie (Rob) Ferguson of Kathleen; grandchildren; Caden Hodge, Rigsby Booth, Evie Booth, Maggie Cate Ferguson and Stelling Ferguson; sister, Kelly Gay Lewis of Macon; aunt, Betty Ann Brinkley; nieces; Jennifer Harbeson, Ashley Woodhouse, Grace Ann Morris; nephew, Zachery Whigham; and several cousins.

ÞoTommy and Tami kids and family I had a close relationship with Tami every since she started work at the Medical center this really took something out of me I talked to her at least every week or two and I am going to miss those talks even on social media but God got an Angel in his kingdom and I know she will be missed

Prayers and Condolences to the family and friends of Tami. We met at the Medical Center. Even though we didn´t work together, we interacted often. Tami was one of the beautiful people inside and out. Reading of her passing was a great shocker. May she rest in perfect peace with our Lord and Savior.

Tommy and family,
We cannot begin to express how much Tami´s friendship meant to us. Tami was always so much fun, our ski trips were memorable, and she loved her family and friends BIG! We are praying every moment for y´all to feel God´s wonderful peace!
