Just found out about this. I worked for Ted in his office in Florence, in about 1975, and many times visited his beautiful house in the hills above Fiesole (some years later I lived close by, in the same area). Hardly a day goes past that I don't remember something Ted said. I'll never forget him. He was a big influence.

I only heard this morning of Ted's death and so send belated, but heartfelt, condolences to Eleanor and family. I was glad have known Ted, enjoyed his good friendship, enjoyed traveling with him it Italy (with Eleanor) and learning from his vast knowledge and impeccable taste. Happy memories will remain. Best, Richard Gaddes

This is Lyra Roskin Grant. I am here in Santa Fe. I remember Ted with great fondness. He and Elenore hosted a dinner for me and my family after my wedding. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. My parents loved you both.

I worked for Ted as a gardener in the 70's , Skied with him as a friend. Appreciated his work and art. Was grateful he paid attention to my career in sculpture.- He was astounded I always remembered his Birthday but then April 11, 1928 is my mothers BirthDay too. 90 . Well done Ted: a truly gracious gentleman is fine and rare thing.
