BARBIERI, Theresa, 88, of Henrico, Va passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Barbieri, her parents Armando and Catherine Zamparelli, and her brother Thomas Zamparelli. She is survived by her son Steven Barbieri, daughter Janice Angerer, daughter-in- law Shari Barbieri and grandchildren Rachel Barbieri and Matthew Barbieri. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

Theresa received her B.A. in Education from Queens College of CUNY in 1956 and her Masters in Special Education from C.W. Post University in 1988. She taught K-6 grade for over 40 Years. She was an accomplished pianist, enjoyed travel, bowling and bridge.

A funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 9505 Gayton Road, Richmond, Va 23229 with visitation one hour prior followed by internment at Greenwood Memorial Garden at 12609 Patterson Ave. Richmond, Va 23238. Donations can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Terry was such a sweet and wonderful person. She was so proud of her children, daughter in law, and grandchildren. I loved hearing her play piano as I walked by in the neighborhood. Terry (and John) will be missed. Her spirit and love live on in those she knew. May she rest in peace knowing she was loved by and touched the lives of many. Deep condolences to her family. We were blessed to know her. John and Terry are having a beautiful reunion.

I worked with both Mr and Mrs Barbieri for many years as their banker and grew to be so fond of them both. Terry loved to tell stories of her days as a teacher and was always so proud of both her children and grand children. I am happy that we grew to be friends and loved that she would call often just to say hi. I wish I could have paid my respects in person today but you have been in my mind and heart.
