Thomas "Tommy" Cummings, age 57, of Pace, FL, passed away July 9, 2011 after battling a long-term illness. He was born May 16, 1954 in Dawson , GA to Lewis T. Cummings and the late Mary Frances Cummings.
Tommy had worked at Air Products for 15 years. After retirement, he took great pride in caring for his home and family. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan and enjoyed anything outdoors, including camping, hunting fishing and riding the woods in his "ALL 4 FUN" four wheel drive. He was a gentle, kind hearted man with a willingness to help others in need. Above everything else in life, Tommy enjoyed being a father and best friend to his son.
Survivors include a son, Gabe (Michelle) Cummings; his father, Lewis T. Cummings; a brother, Burt (Lisa) Cummings; Gabe's mother, Vicki Taylor, all of Pace, FL. He also leaves behind many other loved family members and good friends. He was the shining light of many hearts.
Funeral services will be Thursday July 14, 2011 at 2 PM at the chapel of National Cremation & Burial Society. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery with Keith Harrelson, Mark Reed, Ryan Reed, Chad Reed, Bryan Taylor and Jason Taylor serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday July 13, from 6 until 8 PM . Online condolences may be made to the family at www.nationalcremation.com.
