Thomas F. Easterling, 67, passed away February 23, 2014 in Tallahassee, FL.

Tom was born in Greenville, SC on August 26, 1946 but spent his high school years at Bay High School in Panama City, FL. Tom attended FSU and received a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. After graduation Tom went on to become a Fire Marshal and arson investigator for the State of Florida. He then went on to work as an investigator for the Florida Department of Agriculture.

Tom was an avid freshwater fisherman and enjoyed many hours fishing for Bass and Catfish along the banks of Dead Lakes in Wewa. Besides being an accomplished angler, Tom was just as accomplished in the kitchen preparing his catch.

Tom had a soft spot in his heart for rescuing stray dogs and had two or three dogs at any given time in his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tullis and Carolyn Easterling.

He is survived his loving wife of 26 years, Dorothy Easterling; sister, Frances Arnold (Walt) of Panama City; stepson Jack Chipman (Traci); step-grandchildren: Beth Cao, Jack Chipman, Brooklyn Chipman, and Cameron Chipman; great-step-grandson Maddox Cao; nephew Preston Arnold, and niece Carolyn Renko.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Culley's MeadowWood Riggins Road Chapel on Wednesday, February 26th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 27th at 3:00pm at St Pauls United Methodist Church of Tallahassee, FL. Interment will Take place at Evergreen Memorial Park in Panama City, FL on Friday, February 28th at 11:00am (CST).
