Thomas Oliphant Obituary

Thomas was a retired nuclear engineer with Riverbend Station with over thirty years of service. He was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Wilmington, DE. He passed away at his home Monday, February 1, 2016, at the age of 56. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Friday, February 12, 2016, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 p.m. He is survived by his cousins and friends. Tom's hobbies included cooking and grilling and he was an avid reader. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association at http://www.diabetes.org/.

Tom, my buddy, my friend, I am truly going to miss you; those Basset hound eyes (which you used to your advantage), all those zingers that only you could come up with, dead pan. I would like to think I was the only one you referred to as "Sparky," but probably not. And I'm still enjoying the Buffet CD Collection which you gifted me with many years ago-----hope you're listening in, my friend. God Bless. Patti Gatlin

I would like to expressed my condolescenes on the passing of your love one. I worked with Tom at River Bend for 21 years as an Administrative Assistant in the Engineering Department . He was always cheerful. He was admired by those who knew him. I will be praying for your family at this difficult time.
