Thomas Payn Obituary

Thomas "Tom" Payn passed away on Monday, May 6, 2014 at the age of 88. He was the beloved husband of Anna Marie Dufrene Payn. Loving father of the late Tom Payn, Richard Payn and Ailene Payn. Son of the late Thomas and Eileen Shatford Payn. Proud grandfather of Scott Payn, Patrick Payn, Daniel Payn, Tina Finch, Tommy Payn and Michelle Payn. He is also survived and fondly remembered by his great-grandchildren along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Thomas was a native of Boston, MA and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where he was a member of the Jubilees. He was a World War II veteran who proudly served his country in the Canadian Navy and Merchant Marines. He will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather and brother, who loved his country and treasured his family. Thomas will be laid to rest in a private ceremony in Nova Scotia.
