I miss and love you more than anything Lynnie. Even though I wish I got more than 9 1/2 years with you, I know we'll soon have eternity together. Rest with the angels??
It was the way she laughed, the way she smiled, made you smile and laugh every day.
It was the way she hugged you, the way she kissed you, made you love her.
It was the way she wiped your tears away, the wa she took away your anger, made you feel great-full to have her.
It was the way she told the stories, the way she blushed, made you want to giggle forever.
It was the way she talked, the way she never stopped talking, made you want to talk too.
It was the way she always talked about you, the way she would call you 5 times a week, made you feel special.
It was the way she loved you.
Even though she is not down here on earth with us, she is in a better place with God and Jesus.
Even though you can't feel her physically, you can feel her in your heart.
Even though you can't see her and visit her, you can see and visit her in your dreams.
We will be with her again someday and even when we are, she will always have a special place in our hearts.
She is Tommy Lynn Scrivner.

Lynn and I were at Tech together. I could never forget her big heart or equally bug smile. She was a wonderful person who talked about her family more than anyone I knew. I'll miss her always.

To the Scrivner family,
My condolences to you all and I am sorry that I had not heard of this sooner. I was deeply saddened to learn that a wonderful person, and a fantastic teacher, had left this world. Miss Scrivner was and will always be my favorite teacher. She was my fourth grade teacher at Myrtle Cooper. She made learning so much fun and she inspired me to peruse teaching as well. She was a great roll model and I still want to grow up and be just like her. Miss Scrivner was more than just a teacher she reached out to me and my family, my mother also became very fond of Miss Scrivner, and Kelly Scrivner because they cared so much about me, my brother and her. She will be missed, but her memory will live on in my heart forever. God Bless all of you, and we will keep you in our hearts and prayers. Love Casey M. Faul/Reza, and Donna G.Faul, El Paso Tx.

Ms. Tommy Lynn Scrivner, when I think of her I have chills all over. She was my 3rd grade teacher, I remember her so well she liked me. She was a gorgeous woman, looked like one of those models from tha 1990's..lol. Yes, like said before she was very strict but her being strict helped her students be the strong young adults we are today. I will miss you and pray for you every day. Rest in peace Ms. Scrivner!

Ms. Scrivner was my 3rd and 5th grade teacher at Mary Lin Elementary. I can forget her, she made a very big impact on me when I was in 5th grade in 2005. She was a strict teacher and my mother liked that about her. Also she was very kind as well. I remember when another student and I didn't eat lunch she gave us crackers to eat.
Perhaps I wouldn't have made it to the 10th grade at Henry W. Grady High School without her helping me with math and mt science project. I remeber all the teacher I had at Mary Lin Elemntary. Ms. Scriver was one of many who really had an impact on me and who I really liked. I wish I could have said goodbye to her and gone to the funeral, but i heard late about her. I'll never forget her becuse she was the techer who made me the student I am today in the characteristic of stepping up at the next level. A lot of teachers made an impact on me, but she gave me the quality of taking middle school serious back in 5th grade and I do the same when i get promoted to a new grade.

Ms.Scrivner,
I was thinking about you the other day as my son began his first day at a new school. You were an amazing teacher to myself and my brother at Myrtle Cooper so many years ago. You were a beautiful person that forever touched my soul. The last time I spoke to you was at your Mom's house on her phone,I will remember that forever. My heart is broken. God has a beautiful Angel. You were such a gift to the world. I will miss you and love you forever.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Scrivner and the Scrivner family,
Words can not express my heartfelt emotions upon hearing this passing of such a wonderful young lady. Tommy Lynn and I worked together at Mary Lin Elementary School a few years ago and she made an impression on me from day one. She had such a great personality, positive vibe and a great sense of humor (which helped with her outlook of life in general). She often spoke of her family and having a twin sister. I enjoyed working with Tommy Lynn and know that her vibrant spirit lives within you (family), friends and all those that have been blessed to interact with such a wonderful person. Tommy Lynn...you are missed. May God continue to bless and keep
The Scrivner family and especially now during their time of sorrow. God bless you all.

In passing through EPT.com, this comes as a huge shock. This would not be something anybody would expect. I am so, so sorry for the loss you all have experienced. My many nights of going out after games was always with Kelly, and "The Twins." Those were great times! I'm glad I had the chance to get to know Lynn (of course Kelly and Kristy too).
My deepest condolences and prayers are with ya'll. She was a beautiful person, I can see her smile in all of those memories.
Much Love to all of the Scrivners,

When Tommy Lynn walked into a room everyone knew she had arrived and would soom gravitate in her direction because she brought joy and laughter to any occasion. She lit the room with her smile and personality. I arrived in El Paso one month before she was born and over the years saw her grow up into a marvelous, beautiful young adult. She had a heart of gold. Spending the last few days with the family in Atlanta convinced me that she had made quite an impression on anyone she met from the grocer, to the manicurist, to the doctor, and, of course, her co workers and friends. And what friends... I can't say enough about them. They have been wonderful to the family. Tommy Lynn, I love you very hard. lol You will be missed, but your teacup will forever remind me of you and be kept close to my heart. Love you always, Belinda

Tom, Ronda, Kelly and Kristy my most heartfelt condolences to you and your families. Lynn's unexpected passing has touched our whole family so deeply. We all remember Lynn "Dude"-ing around our house. She was so filled with energy and great conviction. She inspired us all. For me personally, I will always remember her as a great and born educator. She gave me so many materials when I started in the schools almost 12 years ago. This year was the first time in many that I have actually had a room to display them in. I can not look around my classroom without thinking of her. Her memory will live on always in my classroom. She helped me in Y-Club and gave me an audition for Cavaliers. So from one Cavlier to another I will pray:
The Lord Bless you and keep you. The Lord let his face to Shine upon you, and give you peace. The Lord be gracious, gracious unto you. God Bless all of you in this very difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time - your wonderful daughter and sister will be missed mightily! Ms. Scrivner was my daughter's (Traci) 3rd and 5th grade teacher. She had a profound influence on Traci and always asked about her progress and offered help.
She also looked out for my youngest daughter (her little peanut) and bought her 1st Christmas outfit. I counted Ms. Scrivner as a friend and will miss seeing her wonderful smile in the halls of Mary Lin. She talked often of her family - especially her niece and nephew - I feel as if I know all of you.
Our prayer is that you find some measure of peace and comfort to sustain you. Know that your daughter and sister was well-loved here.

We only knew Lynn for a short time but we were very fortunate to have known her. She brought a lot of laughter and memories that will be with us forever. This is a poem we think she would like for you to read:
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Scrivner and Kristy.
It is with heavy heart and much sadness that I write to you offerng condolences on the passing of your daughter, Lynn. She was as remarkable and wonderful a human being as you could ever hope to know.
There is no memory I have of her that was anything but funny, classy, sophisticated, and downright amusing. Every single word I could use to describe her would be a superlative of excellence, and I know I'm a better person for having been considered by her, a friend.
Truly, I am sorry, and I hope in these mournful times, the fact that she was sweet and graceful will help to ease your minds.
If only there was something I could do to ease your sorrow, but I know I cannot. Losing a daughter, a sister, a twin- there are no words to describe.
I'll pray God helps you through these coming months and years, and know I'll always think of Lynn in the most peaceful manner, and try to be like her as long as I live.
May God Bless you and your families, always.

Ms. Scrivner taught my son in 3rd and 5th grade. She looked out for her students and the other children - always trying to help. In addition to being a great teacher, she became a friend. She made me laugh. She always made time to keep up with me and our family long after our son left her class. She was very special. Our hearts and prayers go out to your family.

Dear Scrivner Family,
My daughter and I have great memories of Ms. Scrivner. I loved her voice, its brass and bravado. She was candid and true. Thanks for sharing her with us.

My three sons at Mary Lin Elementary are so sad; however, I am the one who will miss Ms. Scrivner the most. Our family has interacted with her often in the last 3 years. I will miss her happy smile! And yes, she did talk about visiting her family to everyone.

Please accept our most sincere condolences. Ms. Scrivner was my daughter, Macie, math specialist at Lin. She was a remarkable person and teacher. We talked often - sometimes about Macie's progress and other times just to say hello. We are truly thankful that she was a part of our lives. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

To Lynn's Family...though I have not spoken to Lynn since high school, my heart is so saddened to hear of her death. I was in Cavaliers (H.S. choir) with Lynn, and I will always remember her sweet spirit. She always had a smile and sweet words of encouragement for the student sitting alone, or having a bad day. She was a jewel! May you find peace from the one who gave His life to give us peace.

My family and I were shocked and deeply saddened when we heard the news of Lynn's passing. Growing up, Lynn and Kristy were both a part of my junior high and high school years. Although we lost touch many years ago, memories of Lynn, Kristy and the Scrivner family will always have a special place in my heart.
With my deepest condolences,

We loved Ms. Scrivner. She taught my oldest son, Max, 3rd grade. She really took the time to get to know him. I can't tell you what that meant to me as a parent. I remember leaving class one day thinking how lucky Max was to have a teacher not only looking out for him in 3rd grade but preparing him for life. She was an exceptional teacher and a beautiful person. We are very sorry for your loss.

Our daughter Audrey had Ms Scrivner as a math tutor at Mary Lin.Actually, she didn't even need a tutor, but she adored Ms Scrivner and wanted to spend time with her! Each session would end with a shared coke and lots of hugs and kisses.I thought of her as a friend as well, she was so passioate about everything in her life! Mostly we talked about family, her love for hers was palpable and so sweet. Our whole community at Lin has been dimmed with her death and our family has as well.We loved her.

We are shocked and saddened to hear about Lynn’s untimely death. She was our youngest son, Sam’s, third grade teacher at Mary Lin and we knew her as Ms. Scrivner. She was a wonderful, creative, teacher who made learning fun. She was one of those special teachers who would invite parents into her classroom to watch their children put on mini plays. We have fond memories of watching Sam perform with his classmates and everyone celebrating with punch and cookies afterwards. Sam is in ninth grade now and we still have the photo she took of Sam and two of his friends from that day in its little handmade frame placed on a shelf in our kitchen. She was a special person who will be sorely missed. Our hearts go out to everyone in her family, especially her twin sister.
