Troy Hall Davidson, Jr.

Jan. 11, 1935 - Feb. 22, 2023

Troy H. Davidson, Jr. passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 with family surrounding him at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Waco, Texas. Connally/Compton Funeral Directors in Waco, Texas will be handling the services on Saturday, February 25, 2023 with a visitation at 1:00 PM and the service at 2:00 PM. A Graveside Memorial/Interment will be held in Piggott, Arkansas with Hoggard Funeral Home officiating.

Troy was born January 11, 1935 in Piggott, Arkansas where he grew up and graduated from Piggott High School. After a year in the wheat harvest, Troy went to the University of Texas, as well as, Baylor University where he graduated in 1958 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (BBA). Troy was also designated as a Distinguished Military Graduate of the Airforce ROTC Unit and was awarded a Regular Commission in the U.S. Airforce. Serving five and half years as a pilot, flying primarily, the B-52 with SAC. Troy resigned in 1964 from the U.S. Airforce and furthered his career as a Pilot/Captain for TWA commercial airlines for several years. A health challenge led to a career change into the ownership and management of several Residential Care Facilities in the Kansas City, MO area from 1970 until retirement. In 1978 Troy also retired from the Air Force Reserves having participated in their program for many years.

Animals were a great part of Troy's life from dogs, cats and even a few horses, as well as, an avid reader of history, he had a great passion for flying and aviation!

Troy had six children: Mark Davidson and family of Independence, MO, Troy Davidson, III and family of Springfield MO, Michael Davidson of College Station, TX, Michelle Curtis and family of Riesel TX, Renee Chollet and family of College Station, TX, and Terrie Mosier and family of Cottonwood, FL. Troy is survived by his wife Jessie Davidson of Waco, TX of 52 years, one sister Ruby Sisk of Dripping Springs, TX, his six children, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Troy was of the Baptist faith and knew the Lord as his personal Savior.

In loving memory, rest in peace until we meet again one glorious day!
