Raleigh, North Carolina - Walter Kirkpatrick Pugh, 54, of Raleigh, passed away on June 4, 2022. Walter was born in Raleigh to V. Watson Pugh, MD and Frances Plimpton Pugh on July 9, 1967. He graduated from Ravenscroft School in 1986 and received an MBA from Wake Forest University in 1996. Walter worked as a Financial Consultant.
Walter was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Joy Kontos, whom he married on April 18, 2015. Together, the couple loved to watch sunsets at the lake.
Walter is survived by his son, Eric Watson Pugh; step-daughters, Chloe and Georgia Kontos; parents, V. Watson Pugh, MD and Frances Plimpton Pugh; siblings, Vernon W. Pugh III, MD, Holly Pugh Johnson, MD (David), He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eric Winslow Pugh, Frederick DeShong Pugh.
Walter loved sports cars and animals. He enjoyed his many dogs over his lifetime: Natasha, Lily, Buddy, Ozzie, and his horse Laddy. He has joined them in Heaven while he looks down on Nina and Pepper.
A graveside service for family and close friends will be held Saturday June 11, 2022 at 2:30 pm at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612. The family will receive friends at Tara Farm, 715 Newton Rd, Raleigh, NC, 27615, following the service. Condolences may be left at www.brownwynneeastmillbrook.com.
