William Carpenter Obituary

CARPENTER William Earl Carpenter, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Gertrude McGivney Carpenter, wife of 68 years. Father of William Earl Carpenter, Jr. Christie Carpenter Kennedy (John) and the late Robert Earl Carpenter. Preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister. Survived by 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Earl proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was born in Oxford, AL and resided in Metairie, LA most of his life. He was an incredible loving father and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Donations may be made to the Humane Society. Condolences may be offered at www.leitzeaganfuneralhome.com
