William Holliday Obituary

WILLIAM L. "Larry" HOLLIDAY, 49, retired nuclear medicine technician for Memphis Veterans Medical Center, of Memphis, died Sunday, January 01, 2006 at Methodist Germantown Hospital. Visitation from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 3 at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 4 at at the Germantown Parkway Chapel. Burial in Memory Hill Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Holliday was a member of Brookside Baptist Church, soccer coach and soccer dad, cub scout volunteer, and an outdoorsman. He graduated from Overton High School where he played trombone in the band since junior high through college at Memphis State University. Mr. Holliday leaves his wife of 22 years, Elizabeth "Teresa" Holliday; daughter, Jessica "Jessie" Teresa Holliday; son, James William Holliday; his mother, Gerry Holliday; sister, Geri Lynn Jewell of Memphis; brother, George Lamont Holliday of Bartlett. He was preceded in death by his father, George Holliday; and a sister, Patsy Shooter. Memorials may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
