William Barker Rondot-

My grandfather, my father's father, was a great man. I will raise my daughter, your great grandchild, the way my father raised me.

I am honored, thankful, and proud to be named Matthew Mark Rondot.

Okay, Dan...I'll beat you on this one. Mom (Faye) and Dad were playing cards one Saturday night at a friend's house and I was babysitting you....When there came a knock on the door. Of course, I wouldn't open it. The man had a young boy with him and said that he was my uncle Bill. Unannounced and unexpected. Never heard of him. Always a free spirit according to Mom. My first and best memory but not my only one. More memories when he and Aunt Marg spent some winters out here. Rondots, we're thinking of you from Arizona!

To Uncle Bill: I only met you a few times, but I remember your tremendous sense of humor and that wickedly funny laugh. My mom (Faye) told me stories of you. I am truly sorry that I was not able to travel back to Fort Wayne to get to know you, Aunt Marg and my cousins better. I will always cherish your times in Tucson. RIP Uncle Bill. My sincerest condolences to the family.

To Everyone: My thoughts at this time take me back to being 22 years old and marrying into the Rondot family. I was very young and had never met a family like the 10 Rondot kids on Nokomis Rd...What a rowdy and crazy bunch !!!
It took a serious man with great pride, loyalty and an amazing work ethic to provide for all of them. He is with his partner in life right now, sitting down to one of his favorite dinners! All that's left to say is, Welcome Home! Mission accomplished!

To All of the Rondots: I love your Dad. I know I contributed to some gray hairs on his head in my younger years,Mary and I both with our shenanigans. But he always greeted me with a smile, where maybe he should have clobbered me.Thank you,Bill, for being such a great friend to my mother,Joan Mostes,at Covington Manor. She will miss you,and I will miss your smile and kind words whenever I saw you there.May God Bless the Rondot family and bring them peace. What a beautiful family!

To all my Rondot cousins. I am so sorry for your loss of Uncle Bill.
I know he will be missed by many. He lived a long life and will finally be joined with Aunt Margie, Matt, Jean, Mom and Pop, Howey, Tom and Alice...and his family. I am sorry I cannot be there to see all of you. I am in Baton Rouge helping with my 2 week old grandson. I miss you all and really want to see all of you. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
