Not sure what to say?

Words can't describe my heartbreak I am feeling right now after hearing this news. Yvonne was my dance teacher at BAVPA from 1998-2003. She taught me Dunham technique, afro-Caribbean dance, and I learned about influential people of color who have paved the way in the Performing Arts Dance industry. She went above and beyond for every student at BAVPA, whether they were in her class or not. It's shocking to hear about her passing. Mrs. James-Brown will be dearly missed. My hearts and prayers...

Sincere condolences to the Brown family. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

My heartfelt condolences to the family. Praying for strength and comfort for the family.

Sending my condolences of prayers love & peace to the family. My memory of Yvonne is from dances classes @ the School of Movement & Positive Thought once located in Buffalo, NY. The dance classes were taken in conjunction with other courses @ the University of Buffalo where I attended. I will always remember her smile and encouraging words.

We will remember Yvonne´s devotion to her community as well as the energy and positivity she brought to the many tasks she took on to make life around her brighter. Condolences to the James and Brown families.

My deepest sympathies to her husband, children, grandchildren, family members and Black Dance Workshop family. She was a wonderful human being. Gilda
