Not a day goes by that I don't think of my dear friend and guitar teacher Peter.I have his record hanging in my music studio as well as other things that remind me of him. The long talks about music and life could never be filled again by anyone else. The days growing up and learning classical guitar will forever live on in my heart.

To the Prisco family, my deepest condolences and sorrows. I was a student of Mr. Prisco's for a couple of years, just wanted to let you know he was a great man and guitarist. I lost touch with him the last couple of years and was thinking of resumeing my lessons and looked him up today 4/22/19. I will miss him greatly and will think of him every time I pick up my guitar. He was great fun and i learned a lot from him. I sure am shocked and very saddened of his passing.May we meet again my friend and hopefully we do.You were one hell of a string man.REST IN PEACE AND GODSPEED. John Minichini Nutley NJ

I too was in the Sea class of '73. Peter was my first introduction to much new music, new thoughts, and a more open way of looking at life. He challenged me to grow--and thanks to him, and my other wonderful teachers at Sea, I remain liberal, to this day. Thank God! My sympathy to his wonderful family and friends,

So sorry about your loss. I am a graduate of St Joe's class of 73 and one of his students. I will never forget the story he told us of soup his wife made and how delicious it was. You could see the live he felt for her in his eyes.

Thank you for sharing Peter with all. I first met Peter when we were both teachers at St. Joseph-by-the-Sea H.S...He was such a kind & devoted teacher. We both took different roads to careers apart from Sea...but crossed paths many times later in life...I was thrilled to hear from him that he realized his dream of opening a studio for music full-time. I am so sorry for your loss, a loss to many others whose lives were touched by Peter. What great memories he's made with music by his students left as a memory.

I am truly heart broken over the passing of my guitar teacher and dear friend peter.I first started lessons with peter when I was 18.Now 55 I still kept in touch and visit his studio in staten island.when ever I visit and sit in the chair he taught me for over 10 years it would always bring me back to my young adult years where we talked not only music but life, and I always felt that the only thing that never changed in my life was peter teaching in staten island.I'll never forget the time he took me to guitar maker delpilar to buy my first real good classical guitar and that after I sold it years later.he sold me one of his delpilar guitars. He said this guitar has to be yours im not selling it to anyone else.words cannot express what it ment to know you and have you in my life,I will miss you always.your student and your friend Ronnie Angell
