Robert Marino Obituary

Robert Marino

In the quiet afternoon of July 19, Robert "Bob" H. Marino passed away peacefully with his wife by his side at the age of 65. His family was always his #1 priority. He is survived by the love of his life, Sheri (VanHouten) Marino, his amazing children; daughter Carli (Marino) Lampley, son-in-law Edward Lampley, grandson Beau Lampley, son Benjamin Marino & fiancée Mia Tortora, son Cole Marino and son Jordan Marino. Also his precious parents Harold and Fortuna Marino, brother Mark Marino, sisters & bro-in-laws, Kim & Paul Resetar and Joan & Kyle Enger, father-in-law Richard Van Houten, in-laws Bonnie (Van Houten) Lewis & Sam Lewis, Richard & Julie Van Houten Jr., Drew & Leslie VanHouten and many aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins & a world of friends. Raised in North Haledon NJ, Bob graduated Don Bosco Prep '71 and Illinois Institute of Technology '76. He worked at Ace Reprographics, Paterson for 30 years, Solutions3 LLC, and most recently with Keller Williams Realty. His family resides in Allendale NJ.

Bob was passionate about God, family and music… & fishing in Canada too. You would be hard-pressed to find anyone not touched by Bob's kindness, warm smile, encouraging spirit, and the ability to make even the most mundane fun. He brought heaven to earth with his music. His unique & extraordinary guitar-playing and soulful songs changed lives. He bravely battled cancer full of faith in Jesus and yielded to finally enter His kingdom in Heaven to see him face to face. He will be deeply missed until we meet again.

A Celebration Service for Bob's life was held Saturday 7/28 at their home of worship, Bethany Church, 568 Wellington Dr, Wyckoff NJ.

I have so many fond memories of our fellow TEP fraternity brother; intramural football stud, gentle soul & kindness, rock and roll in the frat house basement with Mark Miller and Jim Darow, and many others. I will miss him and am so glad he's no longer suffering. To you eternal friendship, Bob.
