Frank Chamberlin Obituary

CHAMBERLIN
Frank of Wyckoff, NJ passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013. He was a loving father and husband, son and brother. He was most recently a Vice President, Equity Trading at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods in New York. Frank was a man of deep faith, with an unwavering commitment to his family which was his greatest pride and joy. Frank is survived by his wife, Lisa Chamberlin (Viggiano), and their three daughters, Micaela, Leah and Brooke. He is also survived by his mother Gwenn Hendrick and sister Wendi Adams and a large extended family. Born in Ringwood, NJ, Frank grew up in Mahwah, NJ where he was a standout multi-sport athlete. He enjoyed an outstanding career at Mahwah High School, going on to attend Boston College on a full football scholarship. After four years and many accolades, he made his mark as a linebacker, and in his senior year he was awarded the Boston College Scanlon Award, the highest honor in the school's football program, awarded annually to the player who most exemplified the ideals of a scholar, athlete, gentleman and friend. The award closest to his heart was the peer chosen Team MVP, also in his senior year. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science capped his academic career. He was then drafted in the 5th round by the Tennessee Titans, and spent a total of six years in the NFL, playing for the Titans, Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans. Beyond his many accomplishments, Frank Chamberlin was a remarkable person, beloved by those who knew him. He was a natural leader, and his remarkable strength was matched only by the depth of his kindness. He was a role model and inspiration for friends and strangers, proof that hard work and discipline can allow anyone to achieve their goals. He was truly one of a kind and will forever be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Paul RC Church in Ramsey. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
