Donald Firkins Obituary
Ocala - Donald L. Firkins, 68, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008 at Ocala Regional Medical Center. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to Ocala in 1999 from Leesburg, Florida. He worked for Sprint for 34 years. Mr. Firkins served in the U. S. Army. He was an avid tennis player and was loved by all. He is survived by his loving wife of (44) years, Vee Firkins, of Ocala, FL; son Jeffrey Firkins of Ocala, FL; daughter Tina Denton of Lithia FL; brothers Miles, Jack and Phil Firkins all of Indianapolis, IN, sisters Lorinda Steirwalt and Sandy Gibson, both of Indianapolis, IN and 9 grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mr. Firkins will be at 3 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Springs Presbyterian Church, 1060 W. Withlacoochee Tr. in Dunnellon, FL. Arrangements by ROBERTS FUNERAL HOMES BRUCE CHAPEL WEST, 6241 S. W. SR 200, Ocala, FL 34476.
