DR. MICHAEL, 49
Ocala - Dr. Michael Kelly Riley, 49, of Ocala, passed away October 2, 2015. He was born in Mount Pleasant, MI, January 2, 1966 to the late Herbert C. and Darlene A. (Carr) Riley. Michael was an orthopedic surgeon who enjoyed history, travel, fishing and most of all, spending time with his family.
He is predeceased by his parents, and son Noah Riley.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 19 years, Poorti K. Riley; son, Liam Riley; daughter, Megan Riley; son Luke Riley; son, Jude Riley; sister, Carlene (Don) Rivers, of Tulsa, OK; brother, Kenneth (Vickie) Block, of Mt. Pleasant, MI; brother, Lonnie (Jan) Block, of Sumner, MI; sister, Leslie (Patrick) Heintz, of Traverse City, MI; brother, Henry (Jane) Block, of Mt. Pleasant MI; father in law, Dr. Nandkumar (Sudha) Karve, of Ocala; and brother in law, Ashish (Chaitrali) Karve.
There will be a Mass held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10am, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Mahila Seva Mandel Orphange c/o Florida Women's Health, 4600 SW 46th Court, suite 150, Ocala, Fl, 34474. Arrangements are under the care of Roberts Downtown Chapel, 606 SW 2 Ave, Ocala, Fl, 34471.

Dr. Riley was my husband´s doctor. He would take his time and answer any questions we had in plain terms. He was a very caring and supportive man. We think of him often.

He was my doctor for16 years, took care of my knees after fracturing both patterns in a car accident..also did emergency surgery on my shoulder after falling and backing the large bone from my shoulder to my elbow, held it together with a bar and screws...the best Dr in the orthopedic institute..I miss you Michael k Riley, rest in peace..a loyal patient, Rosemarie Hueber.

Tomorrow I didnt realise is 4 years
Tomorrow my husband is having total knee replacement Dr Riley is our go to guy to take care of us we miss him terribly what a great guy

I just learned of Dr. Riley's passing when I was recommending him to a friend. He was a fine man and doctor and I enjoyed my visits with him even though it meant I was getting an injection in my knee, which I always hated. My heart is broken for his family and all we patients who loved him like family... I will miss him so very much... Blessings and peace to his family...

I just heard about his passing, I'm so sorry,we are, we love Dr. Riley, I couldn't wait to be 65 to be able to see him again. My husband has been put together with Dr. Riley. Dr. Riley was such a wonderful person and a great Doctor. He operated on my Mom 7 years ago at that time she was 91 years old and in severe pain.She needed a hip replacement and bone grafts as well. He told her 3 days after your surgery you will be pain free. She has lived the last 6 years pain free and is now going on 97. God Bless you Dr. Riley. My Heart go's out to Dr. Riley's family. He will he missed by his family and also the patients he helped and would have helped. May you rest in peace.

My husband and I would like to extend our sincere sympathy to the entire Riley family. We were both shocked and saddened to learn of Dr Rileys' passing. He replaced my right shoulder in August of 2014. His professionalism, skill, and guidance throughout a very difficult process was extradinary, along with the genuineness that was so much a part of him. I sincerely hope that the family can find some comfort in the knowledge that God has surely reserved a very special place in heaven for such a warm and wonderful man who helped so many.

I only met him once...and that was enough. The kind of doctor/surgeon that any/all of us wish/pray at some time to be lucky enough to meet when we most need such help. I so looked forward to it...
He was most probably going fishing. It would have been....most probably will be...a "good trip". My thoughts are with him on this, his last time out in this dimension. May the stars overhead be bright and make his path clear upon the waters. And may the friends he made along all his past journeys be forever with him.

I am very sorry to hear of his death. I have always been impressed with his love of his family as I'd see him in church with his wife and kids. Beautiful family. ALso a wonderful orthopedist. I had the honor of having Mike as the point guard on the first junior high basketball team I coached and he, even then showed the signs of great leadership and character. We are extremely saddened by his passing and are keeping those close to him in our thoughts. May his spirit live forever.

I hadn't seen Mike since his HS graduation but I was deeply saddened to hear of his tragedy. He was a former student and football player for me at Beal City. A really good person. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Rest in Peace Michael. You will be missed.
