Jeffery Pursley Obituary
Jeffery L. Pursley, 60, passed away on April 23, 2019. He was born in Akron on September 9, 1958 to the late Delmar and Joanne Pursley. Jeff was the Optical Manager at Sam's Club in Cuyahoga Falls. He had a lifelong passion for softball. He also loved camping, playing cornhole, and his second family at Friendship Acres. In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Steven Elrod and Mark Wellendorf. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Shona; daughter, Jenny Pursley (Josh); son, Matt Boskovitch; granddaughter, Nevaeh; brothers, Steven Pursley and Delmar Pursley Jr.; parents-in-law, David and Nancy Elrod; brother-in-law, Bill (Jan) Elrod; sisters-in-law, Nannette (John) Rader and Sue Elrod; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 2-5 followed by a 5 p.m. memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. I sure will miss that big smile when I walk into Sams Club. He was the face of that place Always reaching out to everyone. Top notch guy and employee. They sure don't make em' like they use too. Always so kind to our family. Thank you Jeff for all the smiles and kindness over the years. You are truly one in a million. Loved how you always talked about your family and how you loved them.

My deepest sympathy to the Pursley family. Jeff was my "go to" guy at Sam's Club optical. He was always very friendly and offered excellent customer service. I will miss seeing him at Sam's Club and hearing his softball stories and other adventures he was so happy to share. Rest In Peace Jeff.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Shona and Jeff's Family. Jeff was an exceptionally special neighbor. Like a clock, we knew it was approximately 9:30am and 7:20pm. That's when Jeff drove by and beeped on his way to work at Sam's Optical. So to my kids, grandkids, family & friends, Jeff is known as, Sam's Club Jeff. My deepest sympathy to the Pursley family and extended family and friends. I only knew Jeff through SamsClub Optical. He was always so pleasant, friendly, and offered excellent customer service. He sure loved his family you could tell by the stories he would share. He was a good man. May he Rest In Peace.
