Mabel Nodine Obituary
She was born on Dec. 2, 1932, in Fulton, a daughter of the late Harold and Luella (Bellinger) Muckey.
Jane spent her early years in Fulton, graduating from Fulton High School in 1951. She later lived in the Central Square area, and has lived in Canastota for the past 10 years.
She was a home health aide in Oswego County for several years, retiring in 1997.
Jane was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chittenango.
She enjoyed crafts, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, Bible study, reading and later listening to books on tape. Jane remembered everyone on their birthday and anniversary, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: five sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Pam Nodine of Beavercreek, Ore., Gene Nodine and his companion, Kim Borland of Hannibal, Michael and Janet Nodine of Pennellville, Keith and Lynn Nodine of Kannapolis, N.C., and Heath and Michelle Nodine of China Grove, N.C.; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Karen Rosetta of Oneida, Cherry and Doug Robinson of Granby, Kathy and AK Chrysler of Lakeland, Bonnie and John Guinta of Syracuse, and Wendy and Mike Barcume of Mattydale; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jane was predeceased by four brothers, Arnold Muckey, Morris Muckey, Harold Muckey, and John Muckey; and three sisters, Louise Sanford, Bertha Kerfein, and Kay Smith.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. At Jane's request, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Volney. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James St., Canastota. In her memory, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, Mass. 02241-7005.
