Patricia Ritchie
The family of Patricia Ritchie will hold a private Celebration of Life. Mrs. Ritchie, 95, died Sunday, December 27, 2020 at her residence.
Born in Litchfield, IL in 1925, Pat was the only child of Flint and Anne Ahern. Her husband, Mack Ritchie, predeceased her in 2008. The two of them were born four days apart, lived two houses apart, went to the same Litchfield schools together and knew each other their entire lives. They married in 1947 and moved to Florida where they raised two sons. They returned to Litchfield in the late 1980s.
Pat was an accomplished artist and very active in Litchfield community activities. She was a benefactor of Walton Park where a trust was established for its improvement. She was a life-long member of the Lutheran faith and a member of PEO.
Surviving are son Andrew Ritchie and wife Pam of Litchfield, IL and son Thomas Ritchie and wife Paulette of Floral City, FL. In addition, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive her.
Donations may be sent in care of the Mack and Patricia Ritchie Endowment Fund for Walton Park in care of Ameriprise Financial, 510 N. State Street, Litchfield, IL 62056 OR Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 824 N. Monroe St., Litchfield, IL 62056 OR the Litchfield Museum and Route 66 Welcome Center, 334 Historic Old Route 66 North, Litchfield, IL 62056.
