Jane Bennett Obituary
Delray Beach - Jane R. Bennett, born Eleanor Jane Robertson in Highland Park, MI on March 4, 1917, passed away to her eternal home on February 20, 2021 in her Delray Beach villa. She and her family moved to Florida in 1977, where Jane was very involved with The Boca Pops, The Society of Arts and Letters, the English Speaking Union, The Order of St. John and her love of ballroom dancing. She moved to Abbey Delray South in 2006.
She was preceded In death by her husband Charles, her daughters Joan Temple and Val MacLeish, son Blake Bennett, granddaughter Janis MacLeish and great granddaughter Tara Lewis.
She is mourned by her son Brian and Irene (Andre) Bennett, daughter-in-law Jane Marie (Wilson) Bennett, son-in-law James Archibald MacLeish, grandchildren Joan MacLeish, James and Cindi (Cliff) MacLeish, Tadd and Jill (MacLeish) Lewis, Lauren Bennett, Mitch and Madeleine (Bennett) Beiser, great grandchildren Erin, Rachel, James and Tyler MacLeish, Alexi Lewis, Luke Beiser, friend and 'other son' Art Benedict along with many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid, a small memorial service will be held at Boca Raton Cemetery and Mausoleum on Friday February 26th at 9:30 AM where she will be laid to rest beside her husband. Memorials may be made to The Jesus Film Project at jesusfilm.org.
