Hi my name is Miranda and Fran Finnegan was my uncle. He was the best one you could ever get. Whenever we went over to Aunt Kathy's house, he would be there, always happy, even through his illnesses and weeknesses. I remember he would play a game with me and my brother. He would hide a quarter in one of his hands and we would have to guess which one it would be in. It was very unlikley I would win. He would put it between his fingers instead. Tomorrow at the funeral, I will be saying a reading. He will always be missed in the Baronett family. I am very sorry to Aunt Kathy and my grandmom who lived with him for a very long, long time. God bless him.

There are those rare people you meet in life that are truly a pleasure to be around and an honor to have known. Fran certainly heads that list. It won't be the same without his sense of humor and cheer. My sincere sympathy to Kathy and Fran's extended family in their time of sorrow. But one thing is for certain, all of us who knew Fran will keep his memory alive.

To Kathy and all of Franks extended family, my heart felt and sincere symphathy at this time. All Franks police buddies will know that he'll have the desk job at the pearly Gates and down play all our "sins" and make them minor D's so we won't have any problems getting in. We will all miss him, and Kathy thanks for sharing him with us.

Fran was simply one of the best. The best athlete, the best friend and the best person. Many of us in Southwest played with Fran on baseball and football teams from the neighborhood, and enjoyed his quick wit. He will be massed by all of us.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. The members of our CopNET family would like to thank Francis X. Finnegan for his dedication and service to the citizens of Philadelphia. The passing of Frank will be broadcast to our 3,206 members shortly and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family. His absence from our ranks will be deeply missed by the remaining members of Philadelphia’s Finest who were fortunate to have served with him during his police career. He will continue in our thoughts and prayers during our remaining days. "Until we meet again, may God Hold you in the palm of his hand. " . . .
Semper Fidelis.
