James Marlott Obituary

James "Moe" Marlott
WASHINGTON - James D. "Moe" Marlott, 77, of Washington, passed away at 8:18 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2017, at his residence.
He was born on July 4, 1940, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, to William J. and Louise M. McCarthy Marlott.
Surviving are four children, Jim (Jill) Marlott, Chris (Gil) Cabe, Rick (Nikki) Marlott and Shelly (Zach Lollar) Marlott; one step-son, Jody Krumwiede of Washington; and 8 grandchildren, Maximus, Silas, Lochlan, Brecan, Courtney, Dustin, Kylie and Mike; along with three great-grandchildren. Further surviving are two brothers, Tom Marlott and Bill Marlott. He is also survived by his loving partner of 20 years, Carol Krumwiede.
His parents; one son, Kevin; and one brother, Dick, preceded him in death.
Jim attended Spalding High school in Peoria. He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, both domestically and abroad. Jim had a long career at Hyster Tractor Company in Danville. He enjoyed many things in life, including being an avid golfer in his younger years, loved to play pool, enjoyed Neil Diamond and adored the Cubs. He loved his cats, watching golf and baseball and watching his grandsons play basketball. He was a man with a great sense of humor.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Memorials in his name may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, Peoria Office, 612 W. Glen Ave., Peoria, IL 61614; or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
