DELESIO JOHN J. "STRUT"
Age 86, on Friday, April 17, 2015. Beloved husband of Carolyn (Casciato) Delesio; brother of the late Frances DeBella, Rose Bernatowicz, Matthew and Rosario "Rocky" Delesio. John was a loving and cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. A Korean War veteran, John was a quiet and unassuming man who enjoyed many friends both in Illinois and Pittsburgh. John had a passion for bowling, and as an accomplished bowler at the age of 86, was an inspiration to his league! A former resident of Chicago, John remained a fan of the White Sox, Bears and Blackhawks, however, he grew an affection for the Pirates, Steelers and Penguins. Friends and family received Tuesday, April 21, 2015, 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the WINTER FUNERAL HOME PC, 4730 Friendship Ave. Funeral on Wednesday at 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maria Goretti Church, Friendship Campus, at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Animal Rescue League, 6620 Hamilton Ave., Pgh., PA 15206.
