Joseph Kulick Obituary

Kulick, Joseph E.

Johnson City: Joseph E. Kulick, 90, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary S. Kulick; his parents, John and Anna Kulick; brothers, John, Eugene, and Mike Kulick; a sister, Anne Kulick; and a nephew, George Sablich. He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Bob Marcello; his precious granddaughter, Marissa Ashley Marcello, all of Johnson City; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Jane Sablich, Binghamton; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a member of St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church, Binghamton. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving at the Battle of the Bulge. Joseph held many positions throughout his working career, as an officer of the Binghamton Police Department, had retired from Singer-Link Division, was a City Marshall, and then was Chief Civil Deputy Officer with the Broome County Sheriff's Department. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Stephen Paushter for his genuine care and support. Also thank you to all of the nurses, aides, sisters Mary Jane and Kathleen on 3 Ross at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and all the rest of the staff who took care of my Dad at this difficult time. Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home Inc., 150 Main Street Johnson City, Monday at 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church. The Very Rev. James Dutko will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Town of Dickinson. The family will receive friends at the Funeral home Sunday from 4-7 p.m. Father Dutko will conduct a prayer service at the funeral home Sunday evening at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make memorial contributions to St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church, 280 Clinton Street, Binghamton, NY 13905 in Joseph Kulick's memory.

My beloved Joe,the handsome man with his warming smile that he alway's gave to me and those beautiful blue eyes.I would sit next to the side of his hospital bed and hold his hand and gentley massage his finger's and he would do the same to mine. He was wonderfull and I'm thankfull to have had the chance to know him.Joanne,lovely Joanne-what a pleasure to have the chance to get to also know you and the many laugh's we shared.My thought's and prayer's go out to you,your husband and your daughter at this most difficult time.Just remember,Joe's in the house of the Lord with your mom-what a beautiful reunion.
