I attended Johnson and Johnson-UCLA Management Fellowship program with Karen and she was an amazing person. She was bright and funny. I know she will be greatly missed in her Head Start program. May you find comfort in knowing she touched and impacted many lives.

Karen was the leader who led by example. Her commitment to little children and their families benefited the whole early childhood community. To live one's passion is the ultimate gift. How fortunate we are to have known her. My condolences to her family and to the Woonsocket Head Start community.

While death contains the elements of sudden change death is only a transition from one aspect of our lives to something more valuable and important. Karen left us all with many rich experiences that made us all better people. From those experiences may peace emerge and may those experiences help us all to emerge in a new form. Karen, merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again.
