I was fortunate to have Mr. Ruggiero as my Italian teacher for two years at Classical High School. His teaching was a wonderful mix of drawing out the best effort from students, along with a good dash of humor and fun throughout it all. Grazie mille to Mr. Ruggiero for instilling my strong foundation of the Italian language, which I continue to study to this day. Riposa in pace.

I have fond memories of his joyful spirit and friendly demeanor. He was a true Classicalite; first as an honors student and then as an accomplished teacher. You will be missed, Mr. Ruggiero. Riposare In Pace.

It was a pleasure to have you as my friend and work with you in comedy. On and off stage , your love for people, the arts was very clear. I remember our offstage coffee talks and phone calls on everything for soup to nuts, yes you loved to cook. My family loved you especially Mama who you bonded with on Italian culture. Always learned something interested from you and your laughter was infectious. Rest in peace my dear one. My deepest condolences to your nephews and great nephews Kathleen McCarthy North Kingston

Carluccio,
We laughed together after school in front of Union Station, while waiting for the bus home, and we continued to laugh (and sometimes cry) through adulthood.
Sei sempre stato grande e ci mancherai moltissimo. Non ti dimentichero' mai. RIP.

My High School Italian Teacher! I can still recall Mr. Ruggiero's classroom, and the time he accompanied our senior class on a trip to Italy. It was 45 years ago but I remember him well, a wonderful teacher. I am saddened to hear of his passing, deepest condolences to the family.

You were a respected colleague of mine, both at Classical High School and at St. Mary Academy, Bay View. You were a gifted teacher, talented performance artist, and the life of every gathering. You left this world too soon and will be sorely missed. In questo, il tuo viaggio finale, in bocca al lupo.
