Clarence Musser Obituary

Clarence A. Musser Jr. 75, of Lurgan Road, Orrstown, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.

Born Sunday, June 21, 1936 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Clarence A. Sr. and Nancy C. "Nannie" Gayman Musser.

Clarence was a member of the Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg and attended the Mowersville Brethren in Christ Church. He was a United States Veteran serving in the Army National Guard.

He was a self employed electrician for the surrounding areas and formerly worked for Benedict Electric, Chambersburg. Clarence was formerly employed at Daily Express, Carlisle, as a truck driver for over 20 years, and also built silos for Sollenberger Silos, Chambersburg.

He was a life member of the NRA and an avid hunter. He loved woodworking, gardening and bird watching.

Surviving are his wife Esther M. Oldham Musser, Orrstown, two daughters; Betsy A. Musser Rosenberger, and husband Daniel, Charlotte, MI and Nancy I. Timmons and husband Scott, Orrstown, one son; Barry E. Musser and his wife Joy, Newburg, one brother; John Musser, Mechanicsburg and six grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah E. Timmons Musser who died in 1961, daughter Sally E. Musser Kreiger who died in 2010, four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg with Mr. Carl D. Bert and The Rev. William R. Baublitz officiating. Burial will be in the Air Hill Cemetery. Viewings will be held Friday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc. and also one hour prior to the service in the church.
