What a Lady! What a heritage she has left for others w/her research, art and writing abilities! Leigh traveled west w/the Centerfield Homemakers 3x. Her obit didn't mention that her Eisenhour research was put into a published book and our 2nd trip in 9/2011, made a stop in Abilene, KS, where, with no fanfare, Leigh's book was presented as a gift to the staff at the Dwight Eisenhower Library and Museum. She had discovered the link between the builder of her cobblestone home, Jacob Eisenhour and Gen. Eisenhower. We are so enriched to have known Phoebe Leigh Jones.

In Finger Lakes Chorale, we called her Leigh. She was always so enthusiastic and positive. She will be missed. Picture is from a 2013 bus trip to Chicago.

My condolences to Leigh's family. I have very fond memories of time spent with Leigh, contra dancing (among other things), in the late 1980s and early 1990s prior to her move to western New York. She was a talented, caring, and compassionate woman.
