Michael Edward Roberts was born to Leland and Verna Roberts on 10/10/49 in Oakland, CA. Mike married Jackie Marie Sanders on June 24, 1978 in the Oakland LDS Temple. Mike served for six years as Bishop of the Silver Springs Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mike is survived by his wife Jackie, brothers Steve (Daria) and Marty (Debra), eight children: Jennifer (Vince) Stinson, Dale (Shannon), Paul (Rebecca), Brian (Trish), Barry (Dimple), Rebecca (Tom) Hanks, Jared (Le-An) and Logan (Hailey); and 15 grandchildren with 2 on the way. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11/23/13 at the LDS Meetinghouse, 5470 Elm St. Silver Springs, NV. Viewing at 10am, funeral service at 11am.

My thoughts for Jackie and the entire Roberts Family,
I am so very sorry for the hole in your hearts with Mike being called home to serve Heavenly Father, in a new way. I know he was recieved by loved ones in a grand family reunion as well as hearing " Well Done, My Son, from the Lord.
Mike will always hold a special place in my heart for the wisdon, faith, quiet strength, and the example he lived all his life to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of a challenge he gave to me to not marry a non- member my own husband accepted the gospel and served the Lord well allthe days of his life be he in cubs or High Councilor and our family has the blessing of being united for all eternity. I am sure that Mike will give love and wise council to the children yet to come into your family. I am glad you have the Plan of Happiness to give you comfort in your sad moments. Our family has made a donation in Mike's honor for the Philippines Humanitarian Aid.

From the first time I met you and Jackie, which was at Logan and Haileys wedding, I knew you, Michael, were very special and a gracious servant of the Lord. What a great concept for an e-guest book! Mike & I were classmates through school; later my husband served as Mike's parent's home teacher in San Leandro Ward. He was one of Heavenly Father's special spirits!
