Phyllis Oliveri

PHYLLIS ANN OLIVERI, 91 ROCKFORD - Phyllis Ann Oliveri, 91, of Rockford passed away at 7:34 a.m. Friday, March 20th, 2015, at Presence St. Ann Center. She was born November 11, 1927, in Chicago; the daughter of John and Christina Oliveri. She lived most of her life in Rockford, coming here from Chicago. She was employed Joseph Behr for several years. Upon her retirement, she went on to work at Bob's Hardware. She was a member of St. Anthony Church and past president of the Altar and Rosary Society. Phyllis enjoyed golfing, reading and photography. Her greatest talent was artistry and creativity of which she shared with her nieces and nephews. She was a kind and gentle soul. Her main love was her family and her care giver, her niece, Patty Saporito. Survivors include nephew, John (Susan) Oliveri, nieces, Patty J. Saporito and Mary Jo (Mike) Gallagher, also great nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by parents, brother, Sam and sister, Mary Rose Saporito. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, in St. Anthony Church, with Franciscan Friars officiating. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday morning in the church from 9 a.m. until service time.
