Dear Jennifer, Michelle, and entire Snellings & Hardiman Families,
I am so so sorry to hear of your Mother, Chris' passing! I just can't believe it - I'm in shock! And I know what it feels like to loss your Mom! I have known Chris all of my life, since I was born. Our families grew-up together next-door to each other there on 58th Street - Chris even lived on both sides of our family home, in her teenage family home on the south-side & again later as an adult on the north-side. She was most probably my (& two of my siblings) 2nd, & longest, & most favorite baby-sitter in my life! She spoiled me the most (as all the Snellings' girls did) always hand-making by crocheting, knitting, or sewing me so many beautiful clothes, outfits, ponchos, & various items; & then crafts & stain-glass items. She was the most amazing, professional, & talented crafts-person, home-maker & seamstress I have ever known! I still have several items/things (a dress, a poncho, & jewelry) she made for me when I was like 3/4 yrs old & later. (also from Eddie too). Chris took me everywhere all the time, to craft-shows, shopping, & many places - I always wanted to go with her - we had so much fun! Even though I haven't seen/talked to Chris for some time, we knew our friendship & love was always there! She was such a big part of my life & some of my most greatest/ specialest memories of my youth & life! She will be greatly missed by me & all! She is now at peace with God, her Mother & Father, & brother Eddie too! (they were so close & so much alike!) God rest & keep her precious soul! So glad her brother, Danny & wife Delores still live across the street from my sister Vivian in our family home! We are & will always be in touch with the Snelling's bunch & you her girls! All our love & prayers to you all!
Take care & God bless!
Sincerely, Gina Garcia & All the Garcia Family (Pete, Viv, Peter, David, & Ian) of East Sac/58th Str. (still there, since 1960 - thanks to sister Viv!)
