MARY S. "SUE" WAGGONER
Sue Waggoner was born on May 29, 1923, in Grand Prairie, Texas, arid passed away on December 9, 2010, in Schertz, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William "Wag" Waggoner, and her son, Marc Randall Waggoner. Sue led an adventurous life. She married "Wag" Waggoner on July 14, 1941, and became an Air Force wife. Over the years, Sue and Wag lived in Georgia, Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, Puerto Rico, Georgia (again), Spain, California, Texas (again), Holland, Texas (again), Saudi Arabia, and they finally retired in San Antonio. Sue was an accomplished artist whose work has been shown in the United States and in Holland. She once owned an art gallery in San Antonio. She was an athlete, having played basketball and softball at Grand Prairie High School. She then became a champion amateur golfer who, in addition to winning many golfing awards, scored two holes-in-one during her long career. She is survived by her daughter, Jimee Waggoner Petrich of Los Angeles, California, grandchildren John Lawrence Petrich of Los Angeles, California, Tanya Waggoner of San Antonio, Erica Waggoner Pryor of Atwater, California; Robert Waggoner Child of San Luis Obispo, California; great-grandchildren Ezra Child of California and Maryn and Aidan Pryor of Atwater, California; sisters Irene Uberman of Fort Worth, Texas, and Dorothy Windsor, of Dallas, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at 1:30 pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78209. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. You are invited to sign the electronic guestbook at
