Quin Hauss Obituary

Quin R. Hauss Quin R.Hauss, M.D. born 1935, died peacefully Nov 1, 2018 after a valiant fight with Parkinson's Disease. He is survived by his wife Linda, three children Rob, Anne and Sarah, eight grand-children, twin sister Emily and many nieces and nephews. He was born in Detroit, MI and attended University of Michigan, following in his father and grandfather's footsteps to medical school. After internship he joined the Air Force, where he served two years as a physician. Following his service, he and his wife moved to Redding, CA to establish his anesthesia practice. And raise their children. In 1990 Quin and Linda were married and moved to San Luis Obispo. He continued his medical practice, until his retirement. He felt privileged to play Violin with San Luis Obispo County Symphony for 20 years and later with Orchestra Novo he truly enjoyed being part of the symphony family. Highlights of his time with the symphony included performing at Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House and the Disney Center. Music. was a lifelong passion from an early age. He was active in Rotary, the Retired Men's Group and the UU Fellowship. He liked to ski and sail. He was a private pilot. His memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship 2201 Lawton Ave SLO In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the San Luis Youth Symphony, or Orchestra Novo. The family would like to thank all of the therapists and caregivers from Central Coast Home Heath/Hospice, the staff at Vista Rosa, Physicians Dr. Poterfield and Dr. Negri for their compassionate care.
