Tom Dickerson was the most influential person in my life because he really loved my art. He advised me to go to New York and study Art there. I will never forget him. He was my High School Art teacher and he was wonderful. I left Wichita in 1978 and only returned in 2017. I wish I had reconnected before his passing. I did study Art both at WSU and then graduated from UW in 1981. He was one of the kindest human beings I ever knew. RIP Mr. Dickerson.

I didn't know Tom personally, but his mother Betty and his father Bill. I studied with Betty for many years and she had some of his work which I admired. Rest In Peace Tom.

When I arrived in Santa Fe in 1977 to build the Indian Art Research Center at SAR, Tom was a big help to me and gave sage advice from his store of ceramic knowledge. RIP.

Tom Dickerson was my teacher and mentor while
I was at East High. He gave great support while I also taught art in the Wichita High schools and Art museums. Tom had a kind gentle soul and the
Greatest passion for the fine arts. The Dickerson family were all blessed with their love of art and took great joy in sharing it with others. I have many great memories from attending the Saturday morning art classes in the old carriage house art studio on Belmont. Wichita was fortunate to have such a great family of artists and teachers. Thank Tom, Betty, and Bill Dickerson.

Tom was my art teacher at East High. He was a great reacher and offered much advice. I saw some of his dads and his work at the art museum last year. Wish I could have seen some of his pottery. Marie Morrison Jones 1961.
