Sonja Roberts Obituary

Sonja "Sunny" Gasparini Roberts

Age 55, passed away May 1, 2014. She was born on July 25, 1958 to Karin and Arturo Gasparini, and grew up in Canoga Park, CA. She is survived and loved by her daughter Vanessa Harkness and her husband Jon Harkness of Woodinville, WA, her sister Linda Gasparini of St. Helens, OR, and her brother Roy Gasparini of Monrovia, CA. Sonja was a devoted mother and a beloved friend to many. She was thankful for her dear friend Guy Jacobson of Seattle, WA, whom she described as "always being there for her". She will be remembered by her beautiful smile, her compassion and acceptance for all people and beliefs, and her loving heart.

A celebration of her life is planned for 3:00 pm on May 25 at the Willows Lodge in Woodinville. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation on her behalf to the American Heart Association or to Greenpeace.

Bonny Burns

October 10, 2016

She was one of my best friends in High School. I wondered why she did not come to our reunion in summer and looked her up. She was a special person then and always will be in my memories. We were in a car accident together when we were both 16, that changed both of our lives forever. She was a strength of character then, I can only imagine what and who she became later in life. She joins other friends, Beth Cowan, Nancy Gray and Val Eccles...and I hope she knows I think of her often. We had many other struggles together. I was hoping to re-connect but, alas, sometimes it is not the case. I wish only the best to her husband and child. -Bonny
