CALVIN DELUCCHI Obituary

Calvin Louis Delucchi Cal, son of the late Ethel and Louis Delucchi, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 18, 2012 at the age of 86. Dearly beloved husband of Wilma for 60 years, devoted father of Nancy McGee, Patty Delucchi and Tom Delucchi. Loving grandfather of Patrick McGee (Shannon), Matthew McGee (Anna), Shannon Stewart (Telo), Lauren Todd (Matthew), Brigitt McGee, Gianna Delucchi and Sara Delucchi. Very proud GP (great grandfather) of Connor, Gavin and Delaney McGee; Kiernan and Ava McGee; Marcus Todd and Grace Stewart. Caring brother of Marion Poletti and dear father-in-law of Stephen McGee. Cal was much loved by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Cal, a native San Franciscan, attended Salesian School and went on to graduate from St. Ignatius High School in 1943. He entered the US Coast Guard and proudly served his country during World War II. Upon being honorably discharged from the military, he went on to work at his father's butcher shop in San Francisco's Mission district and ultimately became the owner and successfully ran the business. After 42 years in the meat industry he retired from Petrini's Market. Cal was an avid 49er and Giant's fan. He enjoyed working in his garden and analyzing the stock market. Calvin will be forever remembered by his family for his "GP smile", his huge handshakes and for his reserved, caring and loving personality. He will always be loved and held close in our hearts. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Stephen Church, 451 Eucalyptus Dr., San Francisco followed by internment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. Donations in Cal's memory may be made to the Salesian Boys and Girls Club or St. Stephen Church.
