Gerd Phister

Gerd Phister Age 88. Native of Oslo, Norway, arrived in San Francisco in 1949. Passed away peacefully March 12, 2007. Survived by her daughter Mai Storm Larsen; son, Harold Phister of San Francisco; grandchildren, Michael and Natasha Phister of Concord, CA. Also survived by relatives in Norway and devoted friend, Al Palacio of San Francisco. She was manager at Blum's at the Palace Hotel for many years and later retired from Fantasia Confections. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and the opera and was a volunteer usher at the Opera House. She was very outspoken, with a sparkle in her eyes and a wonderful sense of humor. Private scattering at sea at her request.
