Please know that all that were there that day have prayed for your family everyday since. Your grief we cannot imagine. Your hearts we cannot mend. But our prayers for you in this time of pain we can give. Our brief meeting is something that I will cherish always. For today we are here, and tomorrow God calls.

Precious parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, family...
To this day, and only this day...may you gain the hope of many and the strength from all, my heart goes out to you. In prayer, I lift you. For all souls reading this, the Stuebs family needs your prayers, your compassion, there is nothing of this earth- no secret that can mend this devestation. I pray, in whatever means...be there for this family today, next week, in the coming years. Mow their grass, clean their home, do not ask what you can do...imagine their needs as if they were your own and just do them. This, above all else will at least give them some hope and direction. Please, don't let them become invisible in their grief. They need us all for we are whole and have our sweet babies near by. May we all unite, hand in hand, for the Stuebs family.

Dear Stuebs family,

I was one of Dustin's VBS teachers.
He was always energetic and I knew
he had a great time. Now that he is gone, I remembered that the Bible says that Christans should always rejoice even when it is hard. We all know he is in a better place and we will see him again. You will always be in my prayers.

For Parents*
"I'll Lend you for a little time, a child of mine," He said, "For you to love while she lives, and mourn when she is dead. It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three, But will you, till I call her back, take care of her for me? She'll bring her charms to gladden you, and shall her stay be brief, You'll have her lovely memories as solace for your grief. I cannot promise she will stay, since all from earth return, But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn. I've looked the wide world over in my search for teachers true. And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you. Now will you give her all your love, nor think the labor vain, Nor hate me when I come to call, to take her back again. I fancied that I heard them say, Dear Lord, Thy will be done. For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run. We'll shelter her with tenderness, we'll love her while we may; And for the happiness we've known, will ever grateful stay. But shall the angels call for her much sooners than we planned, We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand!"~ Anonymous

You do not know me, but as a mother my heart aches for you. I know that no matter how many times you hear "I'm sorry" it does not make the pain any more bearable, but I am truly so sorry for your loss. I wish I had a magical cure for your pain and suffering. Please know that you are in the hearts of many and we all will be grieving with you.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.

Dear Stuebs Family,

I cannot begin to comprehend the grief, pain, and anger you must be feeling now. Although we have never met, when I heard of your tragedy, I had such a strong urge to comfort you. Please take solace in the belief that you will hold your babies again in heaven. Until then, may god comfort your heart and calm your soul.

I cannot begin to imagine the pain that you and your loved ones are going through. Children are gifts to cherish forever, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I wish there were words to say that would make it all better, just cherish every minute you have with your family and friends. Your angels are watching over you now.

I asked the Lord to bless you
As I prayed for you today
To guide you and protect you
As you go along your way....
His love is always with you
His promises are true,
And when we give Him all our cares
You know He will see us through
So when the road you're traveling on
Seems difficult at best
Just remember I'm here praying
And God will do the rest.

Stuebs family,

I was so saddened to hear the news of the accident and the passing of your young children...I just want you to know that Dustin will be with you always...he will live on in spirit and you'll see that often in the things and people around you.

I pass along this Psalm that a good friend passed on to me over 2 1/2 years ago after we lost our 4 year old daughter:

Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit.

As the passing days turn into months and years, you will certainly grow to understand what God means when He says 'Do not be not afraid, I am with you...'

My heart is heavy today...I will keep Dustin, the family and friends in my daily prayers.

May the good Lord bring you peace and comfort this week and during the difficult days ahead.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
