William “Bill” Jensen

MISHAWAKA - William Roy J. Jensen, age 57, of Mishawaka, passed away on October 20, 2017, at 3:36 PM in the Sanctuary at Holy Cross in South Bend. He was born December 31, 1959, to Ralph and Connie (Wagner) Jensen in South Bend, Indiana. After graduating from Penn High School in 1978, Bill relocated to Alaska where he worked in maintenance for the University of Alaska - Fairbanks. During the 16 years he lived in Alaska, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and becoming a true outdoors man. After 16 years in Alaska, Bill moved back to Mishawaka to be close to his family and worked for many years in the maintenance department at Indiana University - South Bend. Bill was a member of Abate and loved riding his motorcycle. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the medical staff at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Kindred, and the Sanctuary at Holy Cross for their exceptional care they gave Bill during his stay at these facilities. Billie is survived by his mother, Connie of Mishawaka; his siblings, Jill Jensen of Mishawaka, and Phillip (Debbie) Jensen of Warsaw; his grandmother, Helen Wagner; niece and nephews, Michael Jensen, Samantha Jensen, both of Warsaw, and Nathan Tingle; good friend, John Traxler; many aunts, uncles, and friends will also survive him.
