Williams Thomas Obituary
Williams Carl Thomas Jr.,79, son of William Carl Thomas and Pauline Lentz Thomas, passed away September 5, 2018 in Newport Richey, FL. He spent his early years in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where his parents owned T&C Court and later Ocean Pines. He graduated from Fork Union Military Academy and attended The Citadel in Charleston, SC. He later joined the 101st Airborne Division stationed in Fort Campbell, KY with tours as a radio communications specialist. After service he was employed with National Cash Register in Greenville, SC and Tulsa, OK and later retired in Florida.
He was a member of St. Philip Lutheran Church in Myrtle Beach. Predeceased by his parents, and sister, Miriam Owens, he is survived by his three children, William Carl Thomas III (Trey) of Portland, OR, R. Brad Thomas and wife, Stephanie Lewis Thomas, of Spartanburg, SC, and Katherine Leeann Soos and husband, John Jay Soos, IV of Ocala, FL; six grandchildren Chase Long, Lauren Thomas, Lexy Thomas, Nicholas Thomas, Riley Thomas, and Ailey 'AJ' Thomas; one great-grandchild, Georgia Long; and two nephews, Tommy Owens and David Owens of Myrtle Beach. Services will be held at the V.A. National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on Monday, September 10th at 10:30.
