Arthur Hendrickson Obituary
Arthur D. Sr.
Age 75, of Van Etten, NY, passed away on Tuesday evening, June 5, 2007, at Robert Packer Hospital. Art was born March 27, 1932, the son of the late John and Amanda Finch Hendrickson. Art was a retired heavy equipment operator with the Operators Engineer Union #832B and was a free Mason with the Masonic Temple in Elmira, NY. He is predeceased by his brother, James Hendrickson; sisters, Anna Detrick and Ida Burlingame. He is survived by his loving companion of 26 years, Sharon Houghton. Also children, Arthur D. (Wendy) Hendrickson Jr., Ricky (Brenda) Hendrickson, Michael (Holly) Hendrickson, Diana (David) Cole, and also Kimberly Stanton and Mary Houghton; grandchildren, A. David, Shane, Amber, Eric, Lachea, Wesley, Heather, Jennifer, Amy, Beth, Brody, James, Jordan, Nathaniel, and Joshua; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Stoddard and V. Rose Stanton; and several nieces and nephews. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY, 607-739-2035 on Friday, June 8, 2007, from 7-8 p.m. Art's Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Coopers Cemetery, Brooktondale, NY, immediately following.

Today is my Dad's 76th birthday. He was the best man I ever knew. I wish I had his strength and wisdom. I wish our time together could have been longer. I miss him very much. Happy Birthday Dad.
